Wherever you set your foot…Joshua Craft
This Sunday, I taught a lesson on Joshua taking over leadership of the Israelites after Moses died. “Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you.” We learned to be strong and courageous.
This is the craft we did to go with our Bible story.
I started by cutting a rectangle from an index card. Next, I cut a random shape out of one side of the rectangle and taped it to the opposite side. This is how it turned out. I think it looks a little like a bunny.
I should have been more meticulous to line it up evenly. If you align them better, the design will work better than mine did.
Next, I copied the shape repeatedly on a page to make a geometric pattern.
Wherever you set your foot
I made enough copies of this page for each student.
During craft time, I traced each child’s foot onto a page. Some of the children were comfortable with cutting their own footprint while other children preferred that I cut it for them. Once the footprint was cut, the children were allowed to color it anyway they wanted to. Children love doing crafts, especially the ones that involve tracing their hands and feet. We all had a lot of fun with it.
