I am truly thrilled to get to share my review of “The Garden”. This review is mainly going to focus on the episode entitled The Greatest Gift, but I have also gotten to watch a few other episodes.
“The Garden” is a Christ-centered children’s cartoon series aimed at teaching children the Gospel in a way they can understand. It features LENNY THE LION and LUCY THE LAMB—two best friends who work inside a magical garden where ANYTHING can grow! Each story revolves around them having to accomplish their goals by learning a Bible story or an original song. “The Garden” will take your kids right along on these adventures, too!
I found it very interesting that The Garden is created by BUTCH HARTMAN, the creator of the iconic Nickelodeon animated shows: THE FAIRLY ODD-PARENTS, DANNY PHANTOM, TUFF PUPPY, and BUNSEN IS A BEAST! I found that interesting because it definitely has the same pace and vibe. I was definitely getting the whole 1980s/1990s cartoon vibe from watching it. A lot of 20-something and 30-something aged parents will get nostalgic feels from showing this series to their children while also having the peace of mind knowing that the lessons are Biblical.
I enjoyed the episodes I watched. I found them to be easy to watch and fast paced with subtle lessons that don’t feel overly preachy. They are definitely something that a child could kick back, watch, and be entertained.
A ‘GARDEN APP’ will soon be available, but in the meantime, you can find it on PUREFLIX and YIPPEE TV! You can also download the episodes for a very reasonable price.
You can purchase The Greatest Gift episode of The Garden and get a free lesson to download along with the episode. You can find that here: https://www.gardencartoon.com/shop
