I just love changing up the look of my Christmas tree each year, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on expensive new ornaments and decorations. I mean, who does? I chose to decorate my Christmas tree wood & white theme because it was pretty, made me happy, used inexpensive ornaments, and reused lots of stuff that I already had.

The wood decorations all came from a branch that fell after a storm. My husband sliced the branch into “tree cookies” or simple slices. We baked the tree cookies in the oven on 350°F for about 30 minutes to make sure any bugs or other pests would not be invited to our Christmas celebration. Small hole were drilled for the string to tie them to the branches. Finally, I used a simple stencil to spell out “Merry Christmas”. It was fun, simple, and exceptionally cheap. LOL!
I added lots of white ornaments especially white woodland creatures. I also had lots of white flowers left over from my Garden Themed Christmas Tree the year before. The white flowers were added here and there, but it was the burlap flowers at the top that really made me smile.
I really enjoyed the final look. The rustic chic look reminded me of Christmas long ago. The wood and white had just enough contrast, but played well together. The look is easy to replicate, and so many of the ornaments can be reused for so many other themes that you don’t have to feel guilty about changing things up.
