As homeschoolers, we have a great deal of flexibility which was especially ideal when we decided to visit Main Event Entertainment. My husband took a day off of work. My teen sons got their school work done early. What’s a little school work on Sunday evening when you know you get to go to Main Event on Monday?
We headed to Main Event around lunch time on a Monday, and we pretty much had the run of the place. We weren’t the only customers, but we didn’t really stand in line for anything, either. Check the video below and/or keep reading to hear all about our day at Main Event.
Bowl! Main Event Entertainment
As soon as we arrived, we knew we were going to bowl. Both of my teen sons are part of a homeschooling bowling league. They have their own bowling balls. We love bowling! I was easily the worst bowler of the family. My highlights were hitting both the left and right gutters in consecutive bowls. That’s okay because I had as much fun as they did.
Eat! Main Event Entertainement
We weren’t even halfway through our first bowling game before my husband started asking about appetizers. “When are we going to eat?” I chose the Tex Mex Dip Trio because I knew we would all enjoy it. My husband scurried off to order it. They delivered it right out to the bowling lane. By the way, I was right. We did all enjoy it.
By our third game and second hour of bowling, we were all pretty hungry. My husband went to order for us. They delivered it to our bowling lane again. I loved that we could bowl while we waited.
My husband ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips. My oldest son ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. My youngest son ordered the Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Dip. I ordered the Grilled Salmon. Normally, I might find ordering grilled salmon at a place with a bowling alley to be a bit risky, but it was amazing! I would will seriously go there just to eat. We were all pleased with our lunch there.
Play! Main Event Entertainment
Lasertag
After lunch, all three guys were ready for some laser tag. Laser tag really isn’t my thing, but I did enjoy taking video and pictures. They had a blast!
Gravity Ropes
After two rounds of laser tag, the Gravity Ropes was beckoning to them. Again, I opted to keep my feet on the ground and take pictures and video. The guys had a great time although they admitted that it wasn’t as easy as they thought it might be.
Billiards, Video Games, and more!
Last, but certainly not least, we played some fabulous video games. Billiards aren’t really our thing, although it is available if it is your thing. We did play some air hockey, skee ball, and several other video games. We raced video game motorcycles, challenged each other to basketball, and even had a cut throat game of Connect 4.
We had so much fun that we’re already talking about our next trip. It won’t be long.
What are you doing on October 10? Did you know that you can go to Main Event on October 10, 2016 for some FREE fun? #HeadForFun
