My husband and I have gotten into the custom is having a cocktail weekly, usually either on Friday night or Saturday night. We usually prefer our cocktails to be light and sweet. My husband especially likes cocktails that are blended with crushed ice so I turned the traditional Grasshopper cocktail into an icy or frosty version just for him. This recipe makes two drinks with a tiny bit left over for topping off after a few sips.

Kitchen Tools Recommended
Jigger or Measuring Cup
I start by filling the blender with ice. I use 4 cups of whole ice cubes. If you use smaller cubes, you might need a bit less since a measuring cup would have less space between cubes. If you’re using smaller than usual ice cubes, I would start with half and slowly add them in until you have the right consistency. The “right” consistency would be daiquiri like consistency.
I enjoy using a jigger to measure out the ingredients for the cocktail because it makes me feel a bit more authentic. However I am including measurements in cups because not everyone has a jigger in their kitchen.
This recipe is so simple. After the ice cubes at added to the blender, the green creme de menthe is poured in with the white creme de cocoa and heavy cream. They get blended really well until the ice cubes are completely crushed and blended.
I pour the delicious Frosty Grasshopper Cocktail into either a daiquiri glass or a martini glass. Both are pictured in this post. Then I top them with maraschino cherries, whipped cream, and/or chocolate syrup. The chocolate, cream, and mint go so well together.
