I just love changing up the look of my Christmas tree each year, but why stop there. I also change up of the look of my mother’s tree as well. She requested to dress up her Christmas Tree Teal & Gold theme for the holidays, and it turned out gorgeous!

My mother has some absolutely beautiful gold ornaments that she has collected through the years. We also purchased some gold additions like branches to give the tree some added dimension.
I already had a lot of teal ornaments from the year I decorated with a teal & silver theme. She borrowed my teal ornaments, and the results were absolutely gorgeous.
The feathers on top were the finishing look. I just couldn’t help it. Aren’t they perfect? The look lovely sitting just behind that gorgeous teal bow. I was so excited to find the perfect teal ribbon with peacock feathers on it.
I also placed the Christmas tree in front of a mirror. This allows the lights and glittery ornaments to reflect giving an added dimension along with showing off all the beautiful ornaments hiding in back. It also brightens the area and highlights the tree.
The Christmas tree skirt is rather plain, but it will be hidden quickly by presents for my mother’s 5 grandchildren. LOL I love beautiful tree skirts, but they don’t get shown for long. A simple plain tree skirt also allows me to change themes frequently without replacing the skirt each year.
