If you have been following closely this month, then you know that I cooked a romantic dinner for my husband and myself. These Simple Broiled Oysters are the final recipe from that dinner. I have already shared the Caprese Salad, the Chocolate Strawberry Cobbler, and the Raspberry Cordial Cocktail.

Now, I’m just going to be perfectly honest with you. These Broiled Oysters were not a hit with my husband. I suspected that he might not like them because he doesn’t like ANY seafood (that’s not fried) so I had a backup plan for him which he enjoyed. I, however, enjoyed the oysters very much and was secretly grateful that I didn’t have to share. He is glad that he tried oysters at least once in his life. *sigh* I might be able to get him to try fried oysters at some point in the future, but I’ll leave that alone for now.

These Broiled Oysters are so super easy to make. I started by preheating the broiler. In a small baking dish, I poured melted butter, minced garlic, and Old Bay Seasoning. I mixed these together well. The drained oysters were added into the small baking dish with the melted butter mixture and tossed to coat. Next, the entire shabang was popped into the oven on broil for roughly about 5 minutes or until the oyster edges curl up and the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees.
