Birds Nest Brownies #Recipe Using Boxed Brownie Mix

So I was looking for something special for Easter in particular and spring in general when I decided to make these little treats. Birds Nest Brownies are a perfect treat for Easter or any potluck or bake sale in the spring. They are as lovely as they are delicious… and super easy, too.

This recipe is super easy because it starts with ordinary box of brownie mix. I mixed the brownies according to the package directions. I scooped the brownie batter into muffin tins lined with cupcake liners for both aesthetics and for easier cleanup. I adjusted my baking time for the smaller brownies. My brownies cooked for 18-22 minutes. You may need to adjust this number for your appliance.

Once my brownies were baked, I allowed them to cool completely. I poured my sweetened coconut shreds into a zipper bagger. A couple drops of green food coloring was added. I recommend adding no more than two drops at a time. Shake the bag thoroughly to mix the color. Add more dye as you desire. Pour the coconut a nice size bowl or pan.

This is where it gets fun. I scooped a nice big glob of marshmallow fluff onto each brownie. Carefully, I rolled the marshmallow fluff into the colored coconut getting as much to stick as possible. I placed a few chocolate malted milk candies on each “nest”.
