Welcome to my site! I’m so glad you decided to visit me here.
About me!
This blog represents all my passions. While I am sure that Trisha Dishes will evolve as I do, I am certain that I will always include posts that are centered around making life easier. Life is just too short to waste time on activities that don’t bring joy.
I have been married to my sweet and adorable husband, Michael, since November 1994. Has it really been that long? I don’t know what I would do without him and hope to never find out. We live in Memphis, TN. I’m originally from south Louisiana. My southern slips out often. I apologize for that.
My Children
We have three adult children here on earth and one waiting for us in Heaven. My oldest child is a beautiful woman who graduated from Rhema Bible College. She loves to be on the cutting edge of fashion and is working on her bachelor’s degree. My 2 sons are young adults. That is about the only thing they have in common besides sharing the same family. Our oldest son adores Computers and Technical things and is currently at Rhema Bible College pursuing his call to ministry. My youngest is a Soccer-loving player and referee who is an aircraft mechanic. Wyatt is our Heavenly baby. I carried him for 16 weeks before we were told that he had no heartbeat.
My Foodie Passion
I always prefer to avoid complications, but I love trying new things. I like to experiment… especially with food.
I am not good about measuring ingredients so a pinch of something is usually a literal pinch. I have to make a point of measuring my pinches for you guys. I also tend to change recipes according to my mood. Some days, a little garlic will do. Other days, there is no such thing as too much garlic. In my kitchen, my recipes are constantly tweaked and changed. I have tweaked a recipe until it was a completely different recipe altogether. I can say with certainty, though, that any recipe featured here had exactly those ingredients in exactly those amounts on the day the recipe was created and photographed. However, I have probably recreated that same recipe a dozen or more different ways since then. LOL
My Education
My degree is in Elementary & Special Education. I learned a lot in college, but the most important lesson is that “All children can learn!”…adults, too. Seeing that light bulb come on is more rewarding than all the gold in all the world.
Homeschool
I homeschooled my children for 11 years and have loved nearly every minute of it. We’ve had lots of “light bulb” moments. Some of them came with tears and broken pencils. While my homeschool journey has come to an end with the graduation of my boys, homeschooling is still a passion and a significant part of what defines me as a wife and mother.
Little Ones
I love working with preschoolers. Over the years, I have spent a good deal of time raising my own when they were there, babysitting others’ little ones, and serving in Children’s Church. I have accumulated lots of great activities. In college, my mentor once said, “Teachers who have great stuff share their stuff. Teachers who don’t share, don’t have anything worth sharing.” I will be sharing my stuff with you.
Disclosure
There will be some sponsored content on my site as well as some affiliate links in which I receive a commission off of clicks or purchases. However, I will only share content and products that are meaningful and worth sharing. My opinions will be given in complete honesty.
I think I have lots of great stuff worth sharing. I hope you agree and drop by often. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at questions@trishadishes.com or at trisha@trishadishes.com . I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there,
I found your blog after one of my friends shared it with me on Facebook and wanted to run a few things by you. I’m working on a home education project, and I think it’s something you could definitely relate to. Let me know if you have a moment to discuss.
Thanks!
Andrew
